Abstract

The world of dance is comprised of many different components. From technology, technique, and physicality, these elements are key motivators from rehearsal to the final performance. This research examines how these three motivators are related to deaf dancers and how these elements work to bring both success and accomplishment. The research aims to show the physical components of the ear, how deaf dancers train with strategic methods using technology and techniques, and how notable deaf dancers are changing the perspective of how one can succeed given certain limitations.
