MARISOL BLANCO
A graduate of Cuba’s National School of Arts (ENA) and the Superior Institute of Arts (ISA), Marisol Blanco is a master teacher, choreographer, and performer with over 26 years of experience. She trains educators across the Americas in Afro-Cuban, Latin, and Caribbean traditional dances.
Known for her Rumba classes and the “HPS” method—which integrates history, percussion, song, movement, and psychology—she fosters creativity, motivation, and curiosity. Marisol directs the Sikan AfroCuban Dance Project and was a member of Cuba’s pioneering female drum/dance group Obini-Batá.
She has earned certifications in Art Performance Management, Ethnology, Social Anthropology, and Ethno Choreography, and continues to teach and perform internationally.
