"Chapter 4 Forests Wildlife and Biodiversity Review"
Course: MAN3786 - Sustainable Enterprise Planning
Instructor: Richard Sarabia
There are three topics that often intertwine: the fate of the trees in the forest, the relationship with wildlife and economics, and the importance of biodiversity to nature. Many people fail to see the importance of these three issues if they live in an urban environment. However, urban forests also play a critical role in the ecosystems. There are economic consequences arising from sustainable development decisions. We cut down trees and it accentuates global warming. Without trees we have no paper and no new houses. Without new houses we lose jobs. It is a dilemma: the need for economic gain versus the protection of our natural resources.
