Rediscovering Jean-Jacques Dessalines through the Life & Legacy of St. Victor Jean-Baptiste

Randolph Jordan Delisma is a first-year undergraduate student at the Miami Dade Honors College, Homestead Campus. He is majoring in Business Administration but also has interests in finance, eSports, technology, and education. He is the Vice President of the Esports and Competitive Gaming Club at the MDC Homestead campus as he strives to work in the eSports Industry. He often volunteers in his community, typically at the Cybrarium library in order to make a change in his community while delving into service learning in the field of Business. The Humanities Edge Research Collaboration project between MDC and FIU provided the perfect opportunity to utilize and further expand his communication, conceptualization, analytical thinking, and various other interpersonal skills Bio

Giselle Rivero is 20 years old and Cuban. She is currently a second-year student majoring in architecture at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus. Along with her research team, she had the opportunity to conduct research in the Bahamian community of Coconut Grove. The research was part of a Humanities Edge partnership grant with Florida International University, which allowed her and her team to present the fruits of their collaborative research efforts at several conferences. She is excited to share the podium with students from The Humanities Edge Undergraduate Research Project, and is looking forward to engaging with audiences near and far on her research endeavors through MDC’s Libguide site.
