Janesa Harvard: Article 25 - Mixed Media Sculpture
Statement
I used recycled paper to make this papier-mâché head to represent the human right to a clean environment. When it comes to our planet, we have created so much pollution that we are practically made up of trash. It's in our food, our water supply, our plants, and, unfortunately, it has affected most life both on land and in the water. All damage is not irreversible, so I was inspired to use some things from my recycling bin to create and demonstrate that we can work together to clean our planet because we have the right to a clean Earth. I couldn't afford many supplies and worked with what I had.
