Statement

Article eleven is where the phrase "innocent until proven guilty" comes from. This is what allows us to have fair trials in the country we live in. It also represents the idea that everyone  treated equally. For the drafts of my final, I wanted to show this by either portraying an angel who is in cuffs (as this is the view we should have before prosecution) or Lady Justice with general decay and dirt to show that, today, there are those that aren’t given fair treatment of being innocent until proven guilty. Instead, stereotypes and race seem to play a larger role in these situations than it should.
