The Universal Declaration of Human Rights Art Exhibition V highlights the work of the Arts and Philosophy students at the North Campus, who were invited to work in groups or individually to create custom artwork representing the various articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In addition to creating an exclusive pieces of art for this exhibition, students also documented their creative process, which included writing an artist statement. With this statement, students described the intent of the visual impact that they hoped to conjure to the viewer. The purpose of this exhibition is to educate viewers of their human rights and teach students how to use art, not just as entertainment and decoration, but also as a form of activism and education.
