Karla Perez is a first-year student at Miami Dade College. She is pursuing an Associates of Arts in Biology and plans to achieve a bachelor’s in science in order to become a Doctor of Optometry. Her interests include social and environmental issues such as climate change and enjoys doing research as well as reading in her spare time.
