Bio

Gabriella Nuñez is a first-year student at Miami Dade College, where she is pursuing a major in psychology. She is the recipient of the Honors Fellow Scholarship Award. With aspirations of becoming a forensic psychiatrist, Gabriella is passionate about the complex relationship between mental health and the legal system. Gabriella is involved with PSI Beta honor society, Tri Beta honor society, and PTK honor society. She is also a two time participant in the IREX Global Solution Sustainability Challenge, where she collaborates with her peers at MDC and MENA to discover the most sustainable solution for global issues. Upon completion of her AA, she intends to transfer to a prestigious university to further her knowledge of psychology and progress toward a career in forensic psychiatry.

 

Victoria Cuellar is a Miami Dade College Honors student majoring in English and Literature, and believes that education, cross-cultural communication, and sustainable practices are the foundation for creating lasting change. She is the president and founder of the English Honor Society, founding member, secretary, and scriptwriter for StoryBytes, and part of the executive board for the Interactive Bilingual Reading program, tutoring children in Nicaragua. On her mission to promote literacy, she spearheaded the first little free library on her campus and organized two reader’s festivals, with another planned for Spring of 2026. She also co-wrote a script with students from Jordan, educating about climate change; and co-wrote a business concept with Iraqi students that urges artists from Kurdistan and Miami to use sustainable materials. Victoria intends to double-major in international relations and comparative literature, aiming to become an immigration lawyer and publish her own novels.

 

Camila Martinez is a first year student at Miami Dade College, majoring in Biology with hopes to go into the medical research field. She aspires to help cure diseases that have devastated families, like hers, and people around her her entire life. She hopes to graduate from the Honors College at Miami Dade and transfer to schools with amazing research opportunities with hopes that she will be able to find the cure for diseases that have been so present in the people around her. She is involved in programs like LEAP Exchange for Change, Global Solutions Project, Math 4U and TriBeta Honors Society. She currently finds herself working at the Art Seed, an art studio in Miami where she teaches young kids to express themselves through art. She believes that she is helping her students express themselves in the best way possible. Helping these kids has become the best part of her week as she can see that she makes a difference in the lives of her students.
