Jessie Abanto is a first-year student at Miami Dade College majoring in International Relations. As the winner of Miami Dade College North Campus’ 2024 Ghost Story contest, Jessie blends creative storytelling with a passion for cross-cultural dialogue. Fluent in Spanish and actively learning Chinese Mandarin and Japanese, she aims to combine language, diplomacy, and firsthand cultural exchange to foster understanding in tense geopolitical landscapes. Jessie is an avid traveler with dreams of working abroad, she believes dialogue and education are the keys to a more interconnected world—one where curiosity transcends borders.
