Dashka is a first-generation college student currently enrolled at Florida International University and Miami Dade College. Born in Haiti and shaped by early experiences with political unrest, they’ve always been a resilient and hardworking student, consistently earning A’s and B’s. As a peer writing mentor, they take pleasure in helping others develop their writing skills. After starting as a psychology major, they switched to biology, intending to become a pediatrician and make a positive impact on children’s lives. Naturally shy and soft-spoken, Dashka prefers to stay out of the spotlight, but their kindness, faith, and quiet determination speak volumes. They're deeply motivated by the dream of giving their parents a better life.
