Bio

Laura Duharte is an Honors College student at MDC. Laura is an active member of the Dance Club, Yes! Club, PTK, SGA, and PBL. She has been recognized as a GSEL Scholar and Hispanic Scholarship Fund Finalist. She also won 1st place in the FBLA State Accounting Case Competition. Currently pursuing an AA in Economics, Laura is set to graduate by April 20th, 2024 and will enroll in a transfer university next fall to finish her bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in Finance and Data Analytics.

Camila Lorenzo Roca is a prospective Classics major and a current MDC student, graduating this Spring with her associate degree in English. Since her first year, she has participated in the EAC Symposium, The Humanities Edge Symposium and, ultimately, was selected to present earlier this year in the HERA Symposium at San Francisco. In 2024, Camila was awarded the “Ancient Worlds, Modern Communities” Grant by the Society for Classical Studies, and a Frank M. Snowden Scholarship to support her upcoming studies of Ancient Greek at CUNY Latin/Greek Institute this summer.
