Isabella Arce is a first-year pre-nursing student at Miami Dade Honors College. She is passionate about pursuing a career as an international travel nurse, specializing in emergency care, pediatrics, or oncology, to help low-resourced communities across the world. Currently, Isabella is Junior Vice President of N.U.R.S.E. Club, a staff writer for Miami Dade College's student-led newspaper, The Reporter, and a member of HOSA - Future Health Professionals and Letter Exchange for Awareness and Progress (LEAP) club. Outside of school, she also works part-time as an Aftercare Leader and volunteers at a local hospital. In her free time, Isabella likes to watch movies, hangout with her friends, and travel.
Juliette Bryant is a first-year student at Miami Dade Honors College. She is pursuing an Associates of Arts degree in accounting. She is passionate about working with numbers and solving complex problems. During her time at MDC, she has obtained a Bloomberg Markets Concept (BMC) certificate, became a tax preparer at her college’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, and is a member of Future Finance Leaders club. She hopes to transfer to University of Florida to continue studying accounting with a minor in finance, hoping to be a certified public accountant, and eventually become a chief financial officer.
Isabel Paz is a pre-nursing student at the Miami Dade Honors College who is passionate about art and traveling. These interests come together as she intends to pursue a bachelor's degree in nursing science and art, to later become a missionary nurse who uses art to bring a new angle to treating mental health in cohesion with physical health. Currently she shadows a ER nurse and pursues every opportunity she can to indulge her creative side in a productive manner. Isabel is an illustrator for The Reporter, photographer and tech specialist in IREX Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge, and a live photo editor in her church. In her free time, Isabel reads, spends time exploring with her sister, or rock climbs with her friends.
Valeria is a dedicated first-year computer science student enrolled at the Honors College of Miami Dade. Currently undertaking a summer internship in San Francisco, California, with the renowned tech giant Amazon, she is eager to absorb knowledge and hone her skills in the dynamic field of technology. Valeria intends to transfer to a university renowned for its strong computer science program, such as MIT or Georgia Tech. She currently serves as the INIT Reach Program Manager at Miami Dade College, organizing technology workshops to support the local tech community. Beyond her academic pursuits, Valeria harbors a long-term goal of establishing her own IT company, with a specific focus on supporting underrepresented communities.
Paola Aranguren is a freshman at Miami Dade Honors College on the Kendall Campus, where she is pursuing a degree in economics. As an aspiring economist, she is deeply passionate about understanding the intricate workings of economic systems and their impacts on society. With a blend of outgoing personality traits and meticulous attention to detail, she is driven to excel both academically and professionally. Currently, Paola is the membership chair of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), a senator of the Student Government Association (SGA), and a member of Future Finance Leaders (FFL), and Phi Theta Kappa (PTK). Also, she has had the opportunity to attend seminars and symposiums such as The Washington Seminar and Student-Led Sustainability Podcast. Her experiences in various roles have sharpened her ability to navigate challenging environments and collaborate effectively within teams. She is eager to apply these skills and continue her academic journey toward becoming a proficient economist who can positively influence economic policies and practices.
