Olivia Santamarina is a first-year student at the Miami Dade College Kendall campus. She is pursuing a degree in business administration with an interest in marketing. Awarded the Florida Medallion Scholarship and the Miami Dade Honors Scholarship she works hard on forwarding her education by actively engaging in chapters such as Phi Beta Lambda which develops her soft and professional skills in a corporate setting. Santamarina has competed in state collegiate competitions developing her soft and professional skills that will aid her in the corporate workforce. After graduating with her AA, Olivia plans to forward her education by earning her MBA allowing her to gain leadership positions in an international marketing company expanding her business skills globally. 

Angelina Baucells is a dedicated first year student at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus, holding a 4.0 GPA and an active role in academic and extracurricular organizations where she is pursuing a degree in accounting. Recognized for her academic excellence, she was awarded the Miami Dade Honors Scholarship, which reflects her strong commitment to her studies. Beyond the classroom, Angelina actively engages in extracurricular activities that enhance her professional growth. She is an involved member of Phi Beta Lambda, an organization that helps students develop essential business and leadership skills through competitions and hand-on experiences. She plans to earn her CPA certification to begin her career working for a public accounting firm, gaining valuable industry experience.

Caroline Barrera is currently enrolled in the Honors Program at Miami Dade College (MDC), pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Her commitment to academic excellence is only possible by her receiving the Florida Academic Scholars award in high school as well as the Honors College Scholarship. Driven by a passion for nursing, she focuses on looking for community service and healthcare initiatives to gain valuable experience. Aspiring to become a nurse practitioner, Caroline intends to use her skills to provide outstanding patient care and advocacy. With her dedication and compassion, she is well-positioned to make a positive impact in the nursing field. 

Katherine Padron is a dedicated first year chemistry student at Miami Dade Honors College, holding a 4.0 GPA and an active role in academic and extracurricular organizations. She is a scholarship recipient of the Honors College Scholarship and the Florida Bright Futures Medallion Scholarship. Katherine is also a co-founder of The Chemists’ Circle and a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Psychology Student Association. Passionate about nutrition and science, she seeks to become a registered dietitian and work for The Sports Nutrition Department at the University of Miami. Her hands-on experience includes an internship at Pharma Natural Inc. where she worked in a laboratory conducting experimental tests on products for distribution within the community. With strong leadership, problem-solving, and team skills, Katherine is committed to making an enduring impact in the field of chemistry and nutrition.

Sophia Romero is a first-year student at Miami-Dade College, pursuing a degree in Music with a focus on Jazz Voice. She is a recipient of the Honors College Scholarship and the Florida Medallion Scholarship. Passionate about music as an art form and means of self-expression, she has performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and continues exploring jazz and contemporary music. Beyond academics, she hones her vocal skills with Miami Dade College’s Vocal Fusion and engages in music-related clubs, helping peers build networks and industry knowledge. Upon completing her degree, Sophia aspires to a career in the music industry, blending jazz with modern styles to create impactful music.
