Sofia Carbajal Quiroz, 19, is a political science major in The Honors College at Kendall Campus. Carbajal Quiroz, who graduated from Downtown Doral Charter Upper School in 2023, is passionate about international relations and anything that has to do with social movements.  She will serve as social media coordinator, and advertising specialist for The Reporter during the 2023-2024 school year. She is in the e-board position for the non profit organization I-Give and strives to continue finding roles where she can generate a change. She aspires to be a lawyer who specializes in International Relations.

Nalini Singh, a Mass Communications student at Miami Dade Honors College, merges her love for writing and pop culture with her academic pursuits. Through activities like The Reporter, she hones her journalistic skills. Alongside her studies, Nalini aims to pursue a career in entertainment law. Beyond academics, she harbors aspirations of writing a book and enjoys indulging in music.

Sofia Rodriguez is a dedicated nursing major at Miami Dade Honors College, driven by her passion for healthcare and a profound desire to make a meaningful impact on people's lives. While pursuing her academic endeavors, Sofia actively cultivates her creative side through her hobby of photography, capturing moments that inspire and resonate with others. Outside of her studies, Sofia channels her energy into volunteering, leveraging her photography skills to support various causes and initiatives in her community. With a steadfast determination to contribute to the field of medicine, Sofia dreams of becoming a physician. Her aspiration stems from a deep-seated commitment to healing and serving others, fueled by empathy and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Leslie Novoa was born and raised in Bogota Colombia, at the age of 12 she moved to Miami to pursue better educational opportunities. In 2023, Leslie graduated from South Miami Senior High School with the prestigious distinction of Magna Cum Laude. Throughout her high school years, she was part of many clubs and dedicated herself to serving her community. Leslie spent over 700 hours volunteering for various causes, particularly those supporting the elderly and homeless. Driven by a lifelong passion for medicine, Leslie is currently a first year student in the Honors program at MDC pursuing a degree in Pre-Nursing. Her ultimate goal is to become a doctor, a dream she has had since childhood. During high school, she also found time to indulge in her love for soccer, demonstrating her ability to balance multiple commitments effectively. Looking forward, Leslie is excited about the prospect of internships at hospitals, where she hopes to gain practical experience and deepen her understanding of the medical field. She believes these experiences will further fuel her passion and commitment to her chosen career path. With her boundless enthusiasm and determination, Leslie Novoa is set to make a lasting impact in the world of healthcare, one compassionate step at a time.
