Active learning engages students in the learning process, creating active and strong connections in the brain. In this session participants will learn four Active Learning techniques to use and adapt in writing tutoring sessions. Participants will learn to incorporate Think-Pair-Share, Exit Ticket, and Jigsaw Puzzle techniques when tutoring health science students; however, these activities can be easily applied to any discipline or coursework.
