MDC Leadership Project- Factors Affecting Black Male Student Success in Two-Year State College
Shane Johnson, Director of The Honors College

Nationally, Black men are underrepresented at institutions of higher education. This often means that their voices go unheard. This presentation focuses on Black male students at Miami Dade College, examining the various factors that affect their success. Using responses from a survey conducted by the speaker, this talk will explore the interactions of this group with various departments on campus to gauge the respondents' opinions about their time at Miami Dade College.
