


Keynote Speaker

Maria Villalobos received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida State University and her Master of Science in College Student Personnel Administration from Illinois State University. While at FSU, Maria found her passion for social justice and education and became heavily involved with the Center for Leadership and Social Change, and the Hispanic/Latino Student Union.
Maria is extremely passionate about education equity and ensuring that all students have access to a great education. Prior to MDC, she was a Teach For America Corps member with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, an elementary school teacher with the KIPP network in Redwood City, California, and the Character and Leadership Development Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida.
For the past 6 years, Maria has taken her passion for education to higher education and has served as a Career and talent Development Coordinator at FIU, and now serves as the iCED Director at MDC’s North campus.
